Here’s an unusual story about adoption fraud in reverse. A Florida woman was arrested this week for telling people she has cancer and has 6 months to live. She asked for people to adopt her 11-year-old daughter. One man gave her nearly $5,000 (not for the daughter, but for groceries, etc.). Authorities believe that the woman has victimized six others. Her daughter is now in foster care.
