Birth Mom Seeks Ideas for How to Celebrate Mother’s Day

in Adoption Gifts & Merchandise,Birth Parents

I received a message from a woman who placed her child for adoption about a year ago. She says, "My adoption plan was great, but I’m trying to help others and offer support."  She and her birth mom friends need some ideas for how to celebrate Mother’s Day.

Readers, any suggestions? Please post them in the Comments area.

See the post, "Birth Mother’s Day Events and Cards" for a few ideas.

If you’re looking for something special to give your child’s birth mother for Mother’s Day, check out the new "Adoption is Love" bracelet by Crystal Cave Design.

Kathie Scrimgeour, the bracelet’s designer, donates 40 percent of the proceeds to one of four organizations that supports adoption (the purchaser chooses which one): The Dave Thomas Foundation, Colorado Heritage Camps, and Pearl S. Buck International’s Welcome House.

The 2006 bracelet is made with sparking Swarovski® crystals colored
like the rainbow symbolizing beautiful families and their child(ren).
The rainbow is surrounded by sterling silver and Bali silver ending with a sterling heart filled with love. The sterling silver chain allows the bracelet to adjust from 6-1/2" to 8." The cost
of each bracelet is $35.00.
