How to Advocate for Adoption during National Adoption Month

in News, Issues, & Commentary

Every November we hear all sorts of discussion about National Adoption Month. But what can those of us who advocate for adoption actually “do” about it?

Martha Osborne, editor of RainbowKids.com International Adoption E-Zine, notified me that RainbowKids.com is offering free, downloadable posters you can hang in your church, library, workplace, club, etc.  The posters are available in either color or black and white.

Here’s another neat idea from Martha:

Kids Cultural Coloring pages for 14 countries, which can be used in the classroom or at home. You can choose from an array of PDF coloring pages that include animals, home, country map, musical instruments, traditional clothes, daily life, food, sports, celebrations, and culture.

Countries available include the following:

  • China
  • Colombia
  • Ethiopia
  • Guatemala
  • Haiti
  • India
  • Kazakhstan
  • Korea
  • Mexico
  • Philippines
  • Russia
  • Thailand
  • Ukraine
  • Vietnam
